What You'll Do

Your offbeat birding adventure begins early — when the birds are most active.

Your adventure starts with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Jaipur in your private AC car. Enjoy a scenic drive to Bharatpur as your guide shares stories of Bharatpur's Jat Maharajas and why Siberian birds fly 5,000 km to reach Keoladeo.

On arrival, enter Keoladeo Ghana National Park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to over 375 bird species. Meet your naturalist at the gate and hop on your private electric vehicle (battery-operated e-cart)for a 2.5-hour safari through wetlands, woodlands and grasslands. This is the best and most eco-friendly way to do Bharatpur - silent, comfortable, and close to birds, with no pedaling and no disturbance to wildlife. Your vehicle comes with a government-licensed naturalist who knows every bird call and nesting spot. Spot painted storks, pelicans, cormorants, darters, kingfishers, owls, eagles, sarus cranes, and if lucky, pythons sunbathing near Keoladeo Temple. The terrain is completely flat with no climbing, making it easy for all ages and perfect for photography.

After the safari, take a short walk to the watchtower for panoramic views of the wetlands and enjoy a tea break inside the park canteen. You can also visit the Nature Interpretation Centre if you wish.

Next, enjoy authentic Braj cuisine at a trusted local restaurant near the sanctuary - try the famous Bedai with Aloo Sabzi or Dal Baati at your own expense.

After lunch, relax on your comfortable private drive back to Jaipur with drop-off at your hotel, airport or any location in the city.
